Winter!!!

I have a cloud 9 feeling at the moment.

I don't know why, but I really really really want to blog this.

Why? Because it feels like Winter. It's only spring Autumn, but Winter is coming.

This is feeling I've felt this morning. On the way to work. Outside in the roaming. On the way home.

I LOVE Winter. Though I don't know why. It gives me these really cool vibes. It must be Cloud 9!!!

(I've probably blogged about this at some stage because it sounds familiar, but I'll say it again.)

Woohoo!!! I can't wait for Winter :)

Mr Mantis

Last night I had a Praying Mantis on my window. It was cooL. It was interesting. It entertained me.

I liked it. It made some cute swaying actions.

Today I woke up to find it wrapped up in a spider web, like a oriental spring roll. A Daddy Long Leg of the same size had it. Poor Mr Mantis.

Rest In Peace.

Not bored of Board Games

Ever since Cafe Norita, alot of our Poker nights have turned into Board Game nights. Haha... is it necessarily a bad thing? I don't think so. I actually do think it's better because it increases our entertainment options.

Monopoly was particularly funny tonight because all of us got sent to the jail at least 2 times (in the first 5 rolls per player). Poor Eriz, he got sent to Jail more than 3 or 4 times in the entire game. And each time, he tested his luck, deciding not to pay the $500,000 for bail, and try bail out with double rolls. Waaa......... not a good choice. After a while, he kind of got left behind in the property buying surge. Eventually, he didn't have enough property to stay rooted into the game. Oh wells... guess he wasn't lucky tonight.

But now I think about it. Monopoly really discriminates players very early in the game. If you don't land on the right places in the beginning stages, it kind of lets you down, and it's really hard to recover afterwards. I don't think that's fair. Players should be given a fighting chance no matter what they're luck is in the beginning. Maybe..... or are there already parameters in place to govern this, and I'm just missing something?

Anyhoos, our next board games was incredibly hilarious. Kudos to Eriz for bringing the game tonight. This down below is the official Simpsons Board Game.
This board game is like 7 games in one. It's really crazy, and hectic, and strange, and funny, all at the same time. The aim of the game is to collect your own tokens to fill up the carpet in the middle. The player with the most tokens on the carpet when it becomes filled wins the game. You earn tokens by winning subgames. Easy, aint it :D ???
Not at all ^_^.... when you travel around the main game, you get sent into these sub games (found around the edges) Some test your singing skills, some test your empathy, sometimes a test of your acting skills, and even others that require your gambling luck. haha.... and worst of them all is when you're sent to the Elementary school, it tests you on your Simpsons Knowledge. (Straight to TV school for you =P )

I was amazed at how much everyone knew about the Simpsons. As definitive as it is, you're not really a 20th century kid if you don't know the simpsons. Hahaaa....

This game would really suck for those who don't watch the Simpsons (and I know a few), but that's only 1/7 of the game. Just hope you don't get sent there =P

Thanks for everyone who came to my place tonight. Hope you enjoyed your time!!

To end on a random note:
On Wednesday, City Rail were trialling out a system that would highlight when the train doors were closing. Did anybody else see it? Isn't it just too cooooooL!?!?!?

30 second Timer till door closes
Big Bad Orange!

It looks so menacing, yet it will probably help people make a wiser decision if they're going to rush for the doors. It won't stop the majority of people rushing anyways, but it'll stop at least some. I'm going to miss seeing people rushing for the train, and to say, sometimes it's me too =)

Trigger Happy

I'm REALLY REALLY excited for tomorrow.

My dad and I are going camera shopping. I want to get a Nikon D80, with a very good lens. I know what I want, and I hope I get it.

I also do hope that the right camera stores are open, and hope everyone is in a good mood, so they'll be more obliged to give discounts that would save me lots of money.

WOOHOO!!!

Snap snap =)

YO BAG!!

YO!! I haven't blogged in a while. I guess I should now, otherwise you guys will be disappointed and then stop bothering to go to my blog page. lol... which will then lead to people creating a mind set, and eventually not bothering at all.

So here goes. Hmm..... last time I blogged was Sunday. I think I'll blog at least once a week. It takes so much time to blog. You think. You type. You think. You type. Then when it's all done. You go back, and check for grammatical errors. Then you think. You type. You check. You click okay. And then wait. And the next thing you know, it's been 20 mins..haha........

haha, my little random write for the week.

Here's my current inspiration in life:
I want to be a good designer. I want to think like the picture above. The design elements and D.O.F are so well combined that it easily produces a contemporary feel to an age old object. It makes me think that life is not all hussle and bussle. Maybe..... or maybe it's just me.....

But as a result, it's now my mobile wallpaper.

Oh, and every year comes the Easter show. WOOHOO!!!!! If I'm going this year, I can't wait!!
Did I say I can't wait??? The kiddie only rides. The sub-standard food. The catastrophic lines. The poor animals heckled by us silly humans. And most of all. The Show Bags!!!

I know what my number one show bag will be this year. Yes!!!! IT HAS EVERYTHING that you think could be fun!!!!! & more....

Actually..... I just want the spongebob and Patrick Starfish doll.... lol...... What a sucker I am. Looks like I got suckered again..... =P

oh wells =)

Cafe Monopoly

Hello. There's this really nice place in the city =)

It's a cafe in the middle of the metropolitan area, where you can lounge around (on actual lounges &_&), indulge in mediocre drinks, cakes and pastries, but best of all, you can play board games ^_^

It's called Cafe Norita ;)

First of all, if you are placed in the middle tables (requiring 6 or more ppl), rather than the side tables, the seats have little rollers underneath. I had my kicks gliding across the floor till I felt bad and guilty. hahahaha......

Anyhows, we played Monopoly, and man was it funny. This mention is most deserving, as Eriz was really lucky in the beginning because he rolled a 3, landing on a community chest, brought him 3 spaces back. To all our shock, that left him on BROADWAY (The most expensive place on the board!!!!!). LOOOLL...... Then to our demise, he landed on Broadway another 4 more times, allowing him to build up to 4 houses @_@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That meant if you landed there, the rent was $1700. More money than most of the players had. Everytime we were close to Broadway we all freaked out. Subsequently, Eriz' Broadway K.O-ed 2 players. Like a single hit strike !!! xD....

nice...

One more note, the cafe closes at 2am, and the people were nice enough to let us try finish our game for another 15 mins. I guess that means they get good service points ^_^

Check it out =)

M12's place!

Thanks for having us over at your place. T'was awesome!!

Firstly, I must say I wasn't late. Eric and I were at the courts playing. And when we finally decided to head off to your place, that's when we met you ^_^... so yeah......... aha...aa......haha.................

Anyhows, for those who went K on Friday, let's all erase this from our memories, as it was soooOOOooo horrible...lol....
Let's say, looking for K places at night for an hour, followed by 3 hours of singing till they closed, probably would be one of the funnest and also crapiest experiences ever had...lol........ let's do it again in future (xD)....
