Leap!!!

YaY!! Today is Leap Day!!

Some may ask, what's Leap day? Well, that's a day that happens every leap year, in which February gains an extra day to the month. So today is February the 29th, instead of churning over from Feb 28 --> March 1 (Kind of like a mystery day that pops up once in a while).

Leap day is special to me because my parents gave me the Chinese name which means "Leap Year". They said it was because I was born on a leap year. Quite original, ain't it -.-

But too my complete shock today, it turns out I wasn't born in a leap year. Have I been living a lie?..... did my parents get it wrong? Were they expecting me in '88? Or maybe... I was really born in '88, and my parents had to hide my existence from the sultan.... LOL...... who cares.........

That's my Chinese name for now. I'll still hold leap years and leap days special to my heart. The only thing is I just can't tell people that I was born in a leap year anymore. aww ^_^

Emoness is the way to go!

If you start hating the world, does it hate you back? Or does it try to amend the problem, and start being nicer to you?

... think about it....

In other news, you know Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy? You know, with Arthur Dent, the towel, emo white robot, and the super computer? Well......... anyway, scientist have been trying to find out what the secret of the universe is, so subsequently following in the movie foot steps, they built this super computer to work out the answer.

WONDERFUL!!!! not........ this computer has been running for 8 years, has cost 30 million dollars, and one day, it decides it can't work it out anymore and stops. YES!! it stops... what a pain..

that's one to ponder....

In extra news, scientist have finished building a doomsday vault that will hold all the seeds in underground shelter for the existance of mankind. Terrific!!!! The question now is, how do we get there, and where do I put my name down? It'd suck if I arrived, and there a sign saying "No Vacancy"!!!

Watch out people. OverDrive in the house!

Congratulations! OverDrive was born last night.
Let's see what fruits it will bear =D

Let's work hard peeps ^_^

The China Boy Returns back to the Outback

WEEEEEEEEEE......... Welcome back Mr. Tom.
Where's our presents.... kekeke.......

Anyhows, Mr Tom came back today and we celebrated dinner with him. We had it at Curry Lovers. It was......... "unique".

Of course, a Shanky event wouldn't be a Shanky event if we didn't have Eriz bagging out Pat. As usual, the banana, zoo, and more banana jokes flew out naturally. lol.

Our pre-entree (as in the stuff they give you as default) was quite wierd at first. It came with this dip, which I thought was avocado so I avoided it. Everyone told me it wasn't.

So i tried it.

***** Halo sounds *****
It was sweet. Not quite avocado, still wierd, but nice.

The waiters had to come several times asking about our order because we were joking around too much. Hahaha....

GGeeeeerrrrr..... how do you read a menu?

OOooooo..... I can read menu-nese.

Evenutally we ordered the special banquet. And part of the banquet meant entree, mains and desert. (I think even at the stage, we had pissed the waiters off. Note to self, not good)

Our entrees finally came, and we dug in. I have to recommend the Curry Puff thingys. They were really nice. But I don't recommend the ginger thing that looks like Jelly. You'll know when you go. After we finished the entrees, I felt I had the duty to make some art. So I did.

Subsequently that was when the service became a bit sour. We watched people come and go, and people being served before us. We joked around saying that our entree "was" the mains too. In some perpective, it could have been =P

So in between were more Gori jokes.

When the sky turned dark, I finally asked the waiter when our food was coming. I think we had waited almost 30-40 mins after our entree. Maybe we shouldn't have asked them, because the waiter replied "Don't worry, it will be coming soon". And he ran off into the kitchen. Pat then told of us a story where some waiters spat or even pissed in the food because they didn't like the customers.
We were scared @_@

About 5 mins later, our food arrived, and we chowed. Ai? Chow chow chow.....
The curry dishes came in little bowls. And I thought, that was it???
I underestimated this judgement, and by the end of the main course, I was stuffed ^_^''
Oh yeah, and there were these parsley burito kind of stuff, which were nice too.

Again with the art:

The world through a glass

And my cool bird thingy that really isn't one, but kind of looks like one if you squint your eyes.

For desert, we had this sweet caramel dumpling thing. It was rreeeeaaallly swweet. And somehow, almost tasted like piss. BUT REALLY, it isn't. Uunlesssssssssssss......... that would kind of explain why our service was so bad -_____-''......... We were making curry jokes all night. Oh man.... how stupid of us.

Anyhoos, to conclude, welcome back Mr Tom.
You can also remember us as the ones that had the curry with you =) hehe...

Burpy Bday

Burpy. You're truly "Unbelievable".

Happy 21st.

21st Birthdays

The way that life works:

- Every week someone is having a 21st Birthday. I guess this comes for every single person on the planet when they reach somewhere close to the age.
Sometimes it's fun. Sometimes it's boring. You just remember. Smile =) and be glad that you contributed somehow to their life, personality, and/or emotions.

And with each and everyone, it only reminds me that mine will be coming sometime in the not-to-distant future. I have a feeling I'll be the last person to have a 21st for the class '04
so........ I guess that's a benefit of being young. Oh... and what does that mean? That means alot of pressure for me.

I already have an idea what to call my 21st bday party. It'll be called "The Last '04 Numero 21".. or a bit sadder one "The one that belonged in '05"

Oh! UNLESS....................... someone knows someone who turns 21 from the class of '04 after 23rd July. Please tell if you do. I can't steal their glory.

And the dress code? Maybe school clothing xD...
Might even have it at a school if I can organise it. Otherwise it'd be a hall.
(also, looking for a rock band to play at my party. Will have to start pub crawls soon)

----------

On another note, one of my aunties from HK knew I was turning 21 this year, so she bought me a tie. A REALLY COOL tie may I add. Oh, why so early? Only because my sister came back from HK a few days ago.
Check it out:

It's green when you see it from the left,

And it's blue when you see it from the right!!!

WOW!!!!!!!!! MAGIC ^_^

Saving private Redman

I spent today with my great Shankys. We began with playing Tennis at some new clay courts. My skills were VERY RUSTY..... rustier than krusty. I feel bad... ;_;.... I can't do aces anymore.
But I still enjoy playing Tennis.

So after playing for a short while, we went to pick up Pat, who brought us to a special beach in Double Bay. It indeed was special. Almost like a private beach, but not.

Even before we really settled, Pat and Eriz had to go retrieve the ball that drifted off into the water (lol, who knows who kicked in @_@)Saving private redman

Sapper and I begun setting up the volleyball net. haha...... it took us over half an hour to set it up. *sigh*... The sand wouldn't allow it to ground in properly, and the wind was pretty rough. But nether the less, we strived on.
Me waiting for Sapper to fix his side.

When Eriz arrived back from the lagoon I allowed him to make it, and I went on a break. Patrick came back shortly after. (Supposedly he went fishing with just his bare hands. Baka -____-'')

We played Volleyball, Badminton (despite the rupture of the wind), and even DODGEBALL!!!!!
In Dodgeball, Sapper and I were the remaining dodgers, and we could barely get each other out. If it wasn't for him skimming my buttocks on the last throw, it would have been a fairly played match..... Moral of the story, my ass it too big. LOL....

Just as we were packing up to go, Pat, Eriz and I declared to dunk Sapper into the water.
He ran off =(
lol, so as a turn of events, Eriz was in the middle of us, we approached, picked him up, and dunked him into the water.
Oh... and one last thing. The gorilla and sapper started one of their fights again. Good documentation from me =P

Oh... and the V-day lollies came in real handy tonight =P ... we had two families over, and of course came the kids. When I brought the lollies out, the little boys came scrambling over and begun gorging through the little bundle. If it wasn't for their parents stopping them, haha.... they would have finished it all tonight. The power of lollies....mwhahahaha
