The hard bit isn't saying sorry, it's giving it.

One day someone from a couple asked me to help them out on a small project. For their privacy sake, I'll refer to them as couple 'Marie' & 'Todd'.

So, Marie had asked me if I could help them with this personal project. I didn't see what was wrong, and I happily accepted.

Later that night, I asked Todd about the project, to find out what he thought were some good ideas. While discussing the matter, he mentioned that Marie didn't tell him much about the project too. From the conversation, I had a feeling that Todd wanted to this project personally with Marie. I asked him, if he wanted to do this with just her, and Todd gave me a reply around the lines of:

"Here's what. I'll help Marie with wherever she needs help, and we can do another project that's more adventurous"

How should I have taken the line? ....... I did take a hint though. Todd did want to do it personally with Marie.

So being so, I didn't want to intrude into their space at all. So I rung Marie a few days later, and tried to tell her that Todd didn't really want me in the project, and it would be more special if they did it together. Marie then told me that she didn't tell Todd much about it too. Akwardness crept up my mind.

Marie sounded very agitated over the phone after hearing what I had to say. She told me she would give me a call back later that night.

At that point, I felt I had done all the right things, in all the wrong ways.

I waited 2 hours for a reply. My mind kept going through that conversation. I kept thinking that they were going to argue. They never argue. The feeling was that they would have their first ever argument, over me.

I rang back and Marie didn't pick up. I left her a message and she didn't reply.

Till now, she hasn't replied.

It's all my fault.

How do you tell someone you're sorry when they won't accept it?

Hmm....why........... is the 0 (zero, the number) and O (the letter) ... so close to each other on the keyboard?

3 Blue Cars

O_O!! I'm usually not very easily impressed, but this has to be the coolest thing I've seen all day.
On the road there were 3 BLUE cars at the traffic light. One Toyota, one Ford, and one Holden......... now that's impressive!!! You don't see that everyday :)

Also, I went to check out Seany B's video clip, Happy Today. I was eager to see the results because I did the compositing for it. Too my shock and horror, there were no bikini clad motorbike helmet wearing chicks @_____@
Instead, the video clip was shot raw. The video clip pretty much has two men and women just doing naughty stuff to each other the whole time. GOSH!!! no wonder the parent groups banned it. They should have stuck to the one they had.

Still............. all my work gone "___" I don't have Seany B to add to my portfolio anymore... ACKS!!......

In News!

A high-ranking federal judge caught with raunchy photos on his personal Web site while he was presiding over an anti-smut case today removed himself from the trial. Alex Kozinski cried in a statement, admitting that he found it hard to engage further proceedings with a constant boner behind the stand.

Researchers have developed a new skin patch that may help protect travelers from a common vacation spoiler: traveler's diarrhea. The patch is easy to apply, turns brown when needs replacing, and coincidently resembles the common baby nappy.

As part of an ongoing campaign against polyvinyl chloride, a Virginia-based environmental advocacy group today called on manufacturers and retailers to phase out its use in shower curtains. This calls as up to 1000 Americans die each year from being trapped in their shower curtains, unable to bite through the thin plastic curtains.

Colour Profile Tip

I used to have the problem where my JPEG images exported from Photoshop would be displayed in a dull tone across viewing browsers such as Windows Explorer, Firefox etc...
Whilst the same image exported in PNG and TIFF would retain the colours.

I thought I'd share why this is so.

Turns out PC browsers cannot read the Adobe RGB format (in which we were fanatically drilled into our heads to use during the course of our Digital Media degree). Although Adobe RGB grants a larger colour space, it's no use if you're just viewing the image via your PC. This reason comes to the fact that Windows Explorer or any other Internet browser (except Safari) does not understand the ICC profile embedded into the image, and hence, becomes all yuck @_@
Windows just defaults to WindowsRGB as it's colour space.

Here's an image worked on in the AdobeRGB workspace, and exported out without the following fix:

Looks dull and yall......

The fix is relatively simple. All you have to do is open Photoshop. Go to Edit --> Convert to Profile. And in your Destination Space, choose sRGB IEC61966-2.1, or any other sRGB format available.

Be careful as this will consequently flatten your image. So here's the result, all nice and colourful:

Now I'm ready to show my images to the world =)

NOTE: The only circumstance where I found this to occur is when I started from a RAW image file. To my limited understanding, RAW files do not come with any ICC profile.

NOTE 2: MACs supposedly have a larger colour space or something. You can set images like the dull one above to adopt the sRGB colour space automatically. Yet to be proven. So if you're a MAC user, please tell me if this is true, or if you can see a difference in the 2 images. Thank you!

Was I meant to be a dance wannabe?

Ah... good question. Why was I excited?

One of the things for being excited this week was due to Dance being back on. WooT!! My other dance buddy decided we would go without the friend who crashed his car.

That was what I was waiting for :)

So the night before, I practically searched my whole room to find if I had anymore Dance tickets. In the end, I could only find one.

An hour before class , my friend rang me to say he was canceling due to rainy weather.
I was kinda agitated, but I could understand since it was a bit gloomy.
I rang my father to tell him I was following him home tonight (he works close to me). But for some reason he had his phone switched off.

Later on, I was at the train station. I thought to myself "Hey! Forget about everyone!! I'll just go by myself." There were many factors telling me I should go:
1) I had only one ticket left.
2) My friend canceled on me
3) My dad had his phone switched off.
4) I had all Dance gear with me.

Would be a waste if I didn't, wouldn't it?

So I did go....

... how was class? It was good....... Instead of the regular teacher, we had a substitute. He was different. He had his own favourite moves. What kind of moves? The most uncomfortable one there is, Booty Shaking. That night I did more booty shakes than I've done in my life. No matter how many times I do it, it's still so wierd. Especially coming from the guys........... and especially a guy teacher ~_~

But all in good fun. We danced to Usher - This Ain't Sex. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYzpNisHwFE
Now this song will always be a booty shaking song for me. LOL......

Oh, and that night I also met Hilton from SYTYCD Australia. CooL!!
